With globalization and trade liberalisation as the themes and tempo of the world economy today, SMEs must increase their pace of development in order to keep pace with this challenge. New business models are taking shape worldwide in many different forms that even the most prominent of world brands are aggressively pursuing SMEs as their partners for outsourcing in order to remain competitive. Thus the urge for strategic alliances among the SMEs is getting stronger by the day.  

SMEs have grown in stature as the dominating force that dictate the economic pulse of many nations.

SME International Malaysia is specially established to assist the Malaysian SMEs to connect with other SMEs worldwide; providing a useful platform for all to ride this tide of globalisation and trade liberalisation. The potential to be derived from this platform is unlimited and I urge you to make the most out of it.
